The collection, processing, and storage of personal data is carried out by Lumio Lights in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection (“Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia”, no. 42/20 and 294/21) (hereinafter referred to as: “the Law, Law on Personal Data Protection”).

At Lumio Lights, in addition to carefully selecting the products we offer, we are fully committed to and concerned with your right to be informed about the processing of personal data when you visit our website and use our services, as well as your right to personal data protection.

We inform you that Lumio Lights takes all available technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of the personal data you voluntarily share with us.

Please read this privacy policy carefully and become fully acquainted with its contents before giving your consent to the processing of your personal data.

To more clearly define the terms in this privacy policy, we refer to their definitions as given in the Law on Personal Data Protection.

1. Definitions

“Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (data subject); an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, ID number, location data, online identifier, or one or more factors specific to their physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity.
“Processing of personal data” means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data or sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.
“Restriction of processing” means the marking of stored personal data with the aim of limiting their processing in the future.
“Controller” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
“Processor” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.
“Recipient” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or another body, to whom the personal data are disclosed, whether a third party or not.
“Third party” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or body other than the data subject, controller, processor, or persons authorized to process personal data under the direct authority of the controller or processor.
“Consent” of the data subject means any freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifying agreement to the processing of personal data relating to them.
“Direct marketing” means any form of communication made through any means according to the latest technological advancements, aimed at sending advertising or promotional content directly to a specific data subject, including profiling to the extent that it relates to such communication.

3. Principles of Personal Data Processing

Keep in mind that, at all times, when collecting, processing, and storing your personal data, we act as follows:

a) Personal data will be processed lawfully, fairly, and in a transparent manner with respect to the data subject (“lawfulness, fairness, and transparency”),

b) Personal data will be collected for specific, clear, and legitimate purposes defined in this Privacy Policy and will not be processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes. Further processing for purposes of archiving in the public interest, scientific or historical research, or statistical purposes, in accordance with Article 86 paragraph (1) of the Law, will not be considered incompatible with the original purposes for which the personal data was collected (“purpose limitation”),

c) Personal data will be adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which it is processed (“data minimization”),

d) Personal data will be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date, and we will take all appropriate measures to ensure that inaccurate or incomplete data is erased or corrected in a timely manner, taking into account the purposes for which it was processed (“accuracy”),

e) Personal data will be kept in a form that permits identification of the data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data is processed. Personal data may be stored for longer periods if processed solely for archiving in the public interest, scientific or historical research, or statistical purposes in accordance with Article 86 paragraph (1) of the Law, and with the application of appropriate technical and organizational measures under the Law to protect the rights and freedoms of the data subject (“storage limitation”),

f) Personal data will be processed in a manner that ensures an appropriate level of security, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing, and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage, by applying appropriate technical or organizational measures (“integrity and confidentiality”).

4. Legal Basis, Purpose, and Categories of Data We Process

Your consent is the legal basis for processing the personal data you share with Lumio Lights, such as in the sections: My Account, Join Us, Register, Login, Contact, newsletter subscription, and other parts of the website. This data is used for:

Order processing
Marketing activities (if approved by the user)
Technical optimization and site monitoring
Responding to inquiries via the Contact section

Additionally, when returning or exchanging products, data processing is also based on legal obligations.

5. Purchasing Gift Vouchers

Lumio Lights offers various types of gift vouchers for other recipients.

Data collected:

Full name and email of the purchaser
Full name, email, phone number, and address of the recipient
Any additional voluntary data provided

The recipient’s data will be used only for the voucher order and not for other purposes without their consent.

6. Data Retention Period

Your data is stored on a secure server with a firewall, SSL encryption, and regular malware scans, and is kept until the purpose for which it was collected is fulfilled.

If the user requests deletion or if legal data retention periods expire, the data is deleted in accordance with Lumio Lights internal policies.

7. Payments on Lumio Lights

For online purchases, transactions are processed via Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje through their secure payment gateway.

Transactions use HTTPS and SSL encryption.
Please note that the payment card number and the CVV2 or CVC code are not processed by Lumio under any circumstances; they are processed by Komercijalna Banka AD Skopje.

8. Order Delivery

Lumio Lights uses licensed delivery partners for their delivery.

These partners are processors of your personal data and have signed agreements with Lumio Lights and implement adequate technical and organizational measures for data protection.

9. Cookies

The site www.lumiolights.mk uses cookies.

Cookies may be persistent (stored until a set expiration date) or session-based (deleted when the browser is closed).
Cookies may not directly contain personally identifiable information but can be linked to stored personal data.
